I wanted to start getting some things planned if we are indeed wanting to visit Australia next March.
I would suggest a two week itinerary, but if that is too much time to take off work, we can do a shorter itinerary.
Pre-Trip Logistics
- Passport: I believe you have a passport already, so that's not an issue.
- Visa: You'll need an Electronic Travel Authorization (a visa waiver), which can be applied for via their app (you can't do it via their website). download it from the App store here. The cost for the visa waiver is $20. The approval process usually takes no longer than 48 hours (in most instances, it's approved within 30 minutes). The visa is valid for a period of 12 months from date of approval.
- AA Loyalty Program: If you haven't yet done so, sign up for AAdvantage, the American Airlines loyalty program (you can sign up here)
- The reason why this is important will be addressed later
