hey there!
I love all forms of travel, with a particular fondness for both flying and taking leisurely train trips.
I wanted to use this blog to encourage others to embrace the opportunity of travel, by sharing hotel, train, and airline reviews, and tips on traveling, particularly for people planning their first trip to Australia.
Join me as I continue this journey!
Before I was a Travel Blogger:
- My first blog was a crafting blog, which I started on Blogger in 2000. I was passionate about cross stitching at that time.
- I love helping people get their websites set up and running. I've been providing theme support for a number of WordPress theme developers for the past 10 years. This site runs on a Feast Design Co. theme, using Feast+
- I work in IT, leading a team of release engineers. I plan to transition to full-time travel blogging when I retire.

Fun Facts
- I was born in the UK, but moved to Australia when I was four.
- I took my first solo trip to the US, and met my future husband on day 3 of the trip (in San Francisco)
- I love National Parks, and have a goal to visit each of the 63 National Parks during my lifetime
- I've visited 46 of the 50 US States (I need to visit Wyoming, South Dakota, Maine, and Vermont to round out the list!)

Meet Buddy...
Buddy is my travel companion/mascot. When I'm traveling solo, I don't often have the chance to appear in my own pictures, and I'm not a big fan of "selfies", so I started to bring "Buddy" along with me on my travels.
